The holder has a circular knife (4) supported in a knife head (3), and a cleaning and lubricating mechanism (6) for a cutting edge. A metering unit (7) is attached with a solenoid valve at a base body. The metering unit obtains the lubricant from a container at the body and is operated by a central control device to transfer the lubricant to the mechanism over a supply line (10).
