OPTICAL ELEMENT MOLDING MOLD AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element molding mold which can endure production while the essential precision of an optical axis of the optical element is satisfied, and a method for molding the optical element using this molding mold. SOLUTION: This optical element molding mold is intended for molding the optical element 1 by filling the cavity with a heat-fusible molding material for the optical element by injection while the movable part 6 and the cavity side part 5 are clamped together. In addition, the movable part 6 and the cavity side part 5 of the molding mold are equipped with inserts 5c and 6c having molding surfaces 5h and 6h for an optical element surface which constitute a part of the cavity for molding the optical element 1 and forming the optical element surface of the optical element 1 and blocks 5a and 6a with inside diameter parts 5m and 6m formed in order to slidably guide outside diameter parts 5k and 6k of the inserts 5c and 6c. Further, the hardness of the material for the inserts 5c and 6c and the material for the blocks 5a and 6a is equally not less than HRC60 or not less than HRC50, and the hardness difference is not less than HRC5.
