METHOD FOR SEALING WATER IN PUMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sealing water in a pump capable of efficiently performing water sealing of the pump pumping up liquid containing organic acid salt after solid/liquid separation by preventing wear of a sliding ring of a shaft sealing device due to excessive deposition of organic acid salt dissolved in liquid and leak of liquid from the pump due to creation of a gap on a sliding surface. SOLUTION: In the method for sealing water in the pump pumping liquid containing organic acid salt after solid/liquid separation, water of t°C satisfying a inequality T-10≤t≤T in relation to operation temperature T°C of the solid liquid separation is supplied to the shaft sealing device of the pump.
