PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that an appropriate program is not selected when a word which coincides with an inputted keyword does not exist in a database though retrieval is conventionally performed as a method by inputting the keyword, etc., when a program to be viewed is selected among the multiple programs, and that there is a strong probability of noncoincidence with program electronic data since the keyword to be inputted is changed in response to the tide. SOLUTION: A dictionary system changes a dictionary, where the input word is related to a program retrieval term relative to the word, and the word, under a prescribed condition. It is determined whether the inputted word is held in connection with the program retrieval term or not. In the case of a determination result that the word is not held by connection, a dictionary candidate in this case is newly held as the dictionary. Besides, it is determined whether or not the dictionary is changed by the dictionary candidate. The dictionary candidate is written as the dictionary in response to the determination result.
