PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skirt structure of a belt conveyor for improving sealing property between a skirt and a conveyer belt, preventing scattering falling of a conveyed article, and reducing eccentric abrasion of the conveyer belt. SOLUTION: In the skirt structure 1 of the belt conveyor, the conveyed article is conveyed from a skirt doorway section 2 to the conveyer belt 3. The skirt structure comprises a shape changing member 4 for changing the conveyer belt into a shape where the cross section has a substantially U-shape and has a side surface section and a bottom surface section, a sealing member 5 disposed between the skirt doorway section 2 and the side surface section of the conveyer belt 3, and a pressing member 6 for pressing the side surface section of the conveyer belt 3 to the skirt doorway section 2.
