<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device capable of increasing the follow-up capability of a side seal lip to the runout of the face of a side plate part brought into contact with the side seal lip. <P>SOLUTION: In this sealing device, a slinger 10 is fixed to a stationary housing 102, a seal body 20 having the side seal lip 23 is fixed to a rotating shaft 101, and the side seal lip 23 is formed so as to be tilted toward the inward side plate part 12 of the slinger 10 gradually in a direction approaching the rotating shaft 101 so that the side seal lip 23 can be pressed against the inward side plate part 12 of the slinger 10 by a centrifugal force when the rotating shaft 101 is rotated. Also, a cylindrical surface screw part 24 causing a flow in a direction for discharging a fluid to be sealed into a space F on the sealed fluid side when the rotating shaft 101 is rotated is formed on the outer periphery of the second fixed ring part 21 of the seal body 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
