<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica minute particle dispersion containing no gel nor macro-particles, its manufacturing method, and an ink-jet recording sheet formed with a coating solution containing the silica minute particle dispersion and having a smooth and high gloss ink reception layer. <P>SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of a silica minute particle dispersion, it is formed by adding an acid in a hot water, then gradually adding an active silicate aqueous solution next an alkali is added to stabilize the silica minute particles before a precipitate is formed in the dispersion or the dispersion is gelled, and while the stabilized condition is being kept, the active silicate aqueous solution is added to grow the silica minute particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
