The invention relates to a method for producing an adhesive closing eleme nt comprising a plurality of hook elements that form a single piece with a support. Said hook elements are rod-shaped and have enlargements at the ends thereof. A thermoplastic synthetic material is fed into the gap between two moveable tools in a plast ic or liquid state. The tools are driven in such a way that a support is formed in the gap and displaced in a direction of conveyance. The hook elements are formed by forming elements acting on said gap. The hook elements are formed on both sides of the support by the formin g elements that are active on both sides of the gap.
