PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can be started up at a high speed, makes additional energy saving possible, and makes the above properties compatible with good fixability of a toner image. SOLUTION: A fixing device 12 includes: a transfer fixing member 13 consisting of a roller-like or belt-like rotating body to which the toner image is transferred; a heating means 21 for heating the toner on the transfer fixing member 13; and a pressing roller 14 for forming a nip together with the transfer fixing member 13. The fixing device 12 fixes the toner image onto paper P passing the nip part between the transfer fixing member 13 and the pressing roller 14. The toner for forming the toner image is composed of at least binder resin, a colorant, and a release agent, and has a glass transition temperature of 35 to 50°C and an outflow start temperature of 80 to 110°C.
