PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly exactly presume causal relationship between an enormous amount of error messages. SOLUTION: A causal relationship presumption program executes: a step for previously storing a plurality of causal relationship presumption value calculation rules; a step for receiving the ID (Identification) of the first error message, first time, the ID of a first process, a first communication party or a first shared party, the first generation time and the first fading time of first inter-process communications or a first shared file from a first device; a step for receiving the same information on the second error message as that on the first error message from a second device; a step for selecting the causal relationship presumption value calculation rule based on whether the first process ID is identical with the second process ID; whether the inter-process communications is at least temporarily present between the first process and the second process and whether the shared file is at least temporarily present, and whether the inter-process communications or the shared file is present between the first time and the second time; and a step for calculating the causal relationship presumption value.
