<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly perform input even if a faint change of writing pressure or a change of an off state is present, by bringing a pent point switch into an off state by bringing an input pen close to a board face, relatively detecting a writing pressure change amount from the off state by abutment of the input pen on the board face, and deciding switching on when the writing pressure changes by a prescribed amount. <P>SOLUTION: This coordinate input device detecting a position indicated onto the board face by the coordinate indicating input pen and converting it into coordinate data has: a coordinate signal detection means detecting a coordinate signal from the coordinate indicating input pen; a calculation means converting the coordinate signal into the coordinate data; a switch means sensing the writing pressure of the coordinate indicating input pen; and a data output means encoding the coordinate data and switch information and performing output to an external device. The coordinate input device stores a state of the switch means when the coordinate indicating input pen approaches the board face as a state that the writing pressure is zero, and turns on the switch when the writing pressure of the input pen changes by the prescribed amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
