<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely synchronize a reference side sensor with a slaved side sensor, in a UWB sensor provided with a plurality of receiving sensors with respect to a single transmission sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A low-velocity reference code is generated in a master device 1. A control counter 11 for controlling a code generator 8 is matched in, to bring the counter condition substantially the same as that in the master device 1 by the low-velocity reference code 28, in a slaved device 2. A correlation is found between a high-velocity codel 9 generated in the master device and a high-velocity code 9 generated in the slaved device, and a bit shift is carried out, until a peak is detected by a bit shift controller 19 and until the phase shift becomes within one bit.
