<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing device capable of lapping a work of more than 2m in width. <P>SOLUTION: This polishing device 1 polishes a surface of the plate type body work by pressing the plate type body work 15 held by a carrier 4 on a surface of a polishing tool 9 formed by fastening grindstone segments made by cutting a disc type stone material of 4 to 12m in diameter into 9 to 121 pieces with equal intervals in lattice structure with an adhesive on a metallic turn table of 4 to 12m in diameter axially supported on a rotation axis 8, the metallic turn table is constituted of three metallic members of the central segment 10a of a roughly lengthy column wider than a diameter of a bearing of the rotation axis 8, the right segment 10b of a circular arc column and the left segment 10b connected to the left and right of this central segment, flat surfaces formed by each of segment joint surfaces 17 of the metallic turn table and a lattice adhesive surface 14 of the grindstone segment of the stone material are not in parallel with each other but are provided to cross with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
