<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which no waste paper is produced and which can be operated without troubling a user. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer body cleaning roller 107 cleaning developer on the intermediate transfer body is included. When a delay in transfer material is detected by a transfer materia delay detection means, the transfer material is stopped by a stopping means. After eliminating the developer on the intermediate transfer body by the intermediate transfer body cleaning roller 107, in a state in which the transfer material is made to standby, an image is formed again on the intermediate transfer body and transferred to the transfer material which is standing by. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
