A capacitive sensor device (2) comprises a contact field (20) with an upper face (23) and a lower face, a circuit board (4) arranged under the lower face , and a sensor element (6) made from a spring which extends from the circuit board (4) to the lower face of the contact field (20) where the spring (6) has an expanded part, which is flattened during compression so as to form an expanded contact zone on the lower face of the contact field (20). An independent claim is included for a capacitive sensor for detecting the presence of a field.
