PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding device capable of certainly folding a continuous lengthy sheet-like member with a content so as to be superposed along a flowing direction of the sheet-like member. SOLUTION: The folding device 10 folds the continuous lengthy sheet-like member 100 so as to be superposed along a flowing direction of the sheet-like member 100 and has a folding guide member 20 for upwardly or downwardly displacing one end edge 102 of the sheet-like member 100 and folding one end edge 102 toward an inner side of the sheet-like member 100; an auxiliary disc 24 arranged near the folding guide member 20, abutting on an inner surface side to be folded of the sheet-like member 100 and rotatably provided in order to assist the action for folding one end edge 102 toward the inner side of the sheet-like member 100.
