PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that good repetitive recording can be performed with low jitter at the time of high-speed recording at a speed equivalent to or above 6 to 8 times the speed of a DVD.
SOLUTION: At the time of migration from the formation of at least the shortest crystal space to the formation of an amorphous mark under the conditions of high-speed specifications like those in a recording strategy of a 2T period, the recording strategy of once modulating the light to power Pb light lower than erasing power Pe light is used, by which, even if there is a variation in the temperature due to the space length, more particularly the shortest 3T space length at the time of the high speed recording, the temperature is once uniformly lowered by the irradiation with the power Pb light lower than the erasing power Pe light and therefore the difference thereof is eventually reduced and the temperature conditions at the time of the irradiation with the peak power Pp light right thereafter are made the same and the variation in the positions at the tips of the marks does not arise any more and the lower jitter is attained.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
