<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing assuring high position estimating accuracy and capable of being embodied in a still more small and light construction. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic bearing is composed of a stator 1 and a rotor 2 rotating while it is supported by the stator 1 in the non-touching condition by the magnetic force, wherein a magnetic flux sensor 17 is installed at the tips of a plurality of permanent magnets 16 supplying the magnetic flux to the rotor where the stator 1 is positioned confronting the rotor 2. The magnetic flux sensor 17 senses a gap change between the permanent magnets 16 and the rotor 2 in the form of a change in magnetic flux generated between them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
