摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring device capable of improving the accuracy of distance measurement with respect to an object of measurement of low contrast, and capable of reducing the time of that distance measurement. SOLUTION: Concerning a distance measuring area wherein data of low contrast are contained in sensor data inputted to a sensor data storing section 2C for the first time via an A/D conversion section 2B, sensor data are inputted to the storing section 2C via the conversion section 2B at least once more, and the sensor data are added to the sensor data inputted for the first time, and the data are stored. By performing correlation operation and distance measurement operation based on the sensor data addition-processed and stored in the storing section 2C, it becomes possible to perform distance measurement with respect to the object of measurement of low contrast. Concerning the distance measuring area wherein the sensor data of low contrast are contained, the time of A/D converting and adding the sensor data again is extremely shorter than the integral time of integrating the output signal of a pair of line sensors again, concerning a low-brightness and low-contrast region, as in a conventional example.
