PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a snow thawing agent which can be nearly uniformly spread over e.g., a road surface and is resistant to pulverization even upon external shock during its distribution and storage. SOLUTION: This snow thawing agent comprises irregular-shaped particles containing sodium chloride and having a mean-particle diameter of 10 mm or smaller.
