PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-priming water pump, capable of improving an electric insulating characteristic, enhancing pump performance in steady operation, shortening self-priming time, and restraining a temperature rise in a pump driving motor stored in a motor chamber. SOLUTION: This washing machine has a washing tub having an agitating blade, a top cover arranged above the washing tub, and a bath water suction pump for pumping up bath water via a water suction hose above the washing tub; and is constituted so that the bath water sucked in from the water suction port flows to the periphery of a wall for forming the motor chamber, by discharging the bath water sucked in from the water suction port from a discharge port via a suction chamber, a runner chamber, and an air-water separating chamber.
