PURPOSE:To decrease a number of times of inching operation and reduce a wearing speed of mechanical parts in the positioning method of a back gage or the like in a shearing machine, by suitably selecting an inching operation command signal to position a moved object to an objective position in accordance with a distance to the objective position. CONSTITUTION:A positioning controller 1 detects the position of a back gage to constitute a control means outputting a control signal for positioning the back gage to an objective position. A motor with a brake is driven by a moving command output from the controller 1 to rotate a shaft 5 connected by a coupling or the like. Rotation of the shaft 5 changes its speed by a speed changer 7 and is transmitted to a screw 9. In accordance with the rotation of the shaft 5, a pulse signal is output to the controller 1 by a pulse encoder 15. A plural kinds of inching operation command signals, in which a movable distance is different by the inching operation of one cycle, are prepared and suitably selected to perform positioning. |
