PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type rotary grinding machine which inclines a rotary shaft of a tool in an arbitrary direction by a simple control. SOLUTION: A grinding tool driving device 42 is rotated around a pin 16 by a first inclining device 18 and is rotated around a pin 62 by a second inclining device 52, and thereby a rotary shaft Cg of a grinding tool is inclined within plane vertical to the pin 16 by being rotated around the pin 16, and is inclined within even plane vertical to the pin 62 by being rotated around the pin 62. The rotary shaft Cg of the grinding tool is inclined in an arbitrary direction and at an arbitrary angle in which inclination by each of rotation around the pins 16 and 62 is combined. At this time, the first inclining device 18 and the second inclining device 52 are separately provided, each of rotation around the pin 16 and rotation around the pin 62 is performed by being shared, and thereby the control becomes easy.
