PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that power is wastefully consumed since data are transferred at higher speed than required in transmitting and receiving data by a portable telephone set. SOLUTION: A RAM 11 in the portable telephone set is provided with an interface for parallel port and an interface for serial port 15, whose transfer speed is slower than that in the interface for parallel port. In writing received data into the RAM 11 and reading transmitted data from the RAM 11 when transmitting and receiving data, data are transferred through the interface for serial port 15.
