PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing device which enables a reduction in packing capacity and disposal amount, and which can secure a shock-absorbing function in the adoption of a synthetic resin film. SOLUTION: In this packing device for packing an article to be packed into a box body via a shock-absorbing mechanism, the shock-absorbing mechanism comprises a pair of upper and lower elastic synthetic resin films 10 and 11 which are provided in the box body 3 in a stretched state, and gelatinous shock-absorbing members 15 which are mainly composed of silicone and arranged in the box body 3 in such a manner as to face each other by sandwiching the upper and lower films 10 and 11 in between; and a portable personal computer (the article to be packed) 2 is held by tension in the state of being floated in the air between the upper and lower films 10 and 11, and held in the state of being sandwiched between the members 15.
