PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic force balancing type electronic balance which does not reduce a substantial measuring range even when a tare is used. SOLUTION: A tare subtracting coil 3c, in addition to a measuring coil 3b, is placed in a static magnetic field generated by a magnetic circuit 3a of an electromagnetic force generator 3. Based on the content of a storage means 14 which stores tare weight, an electric current which generates an electromagnetic force balancing the tare weight is supplied to the tare subtracting coil 3c, thereby allowing measurement without reducing a measuring range even when a tare is used.
