<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance system and a maintenance method of a computer system, which can deal with maintenance operations by transmitting/receiving failure information and analysis results with a portable telephone alone, and can determine the priority of failed parts based on the results of the maintenance operations to enhance the probability of correctly pointing out failed parts, thereby making the maintenance operations more efficient. <P>SOLUTION: The maintenance system comprises a computer system C1 of a user and a portable telephone T1 of a maintenance worker which are provided in a failure occurrence place S1, and a computer system C2 and the like which is provided in a remote maintenance center S2. The remote maintenance center S2 analyzes failure information transmitted from the portable telephone T1, specifies, in the order of high priority, broken parts falling in machine models in which failures occur, returns the analysis results of these specified broken parts to the portable telephone T1 to indicate the failure parts to be exchanged to the maintenance worker, and further receives the maintenance operation results from the maintenance worker to determine the priority of the indicated parts again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
