PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that ensures separation of paper from a fixing roller and prevents a jam, thereby reducing tasks needed to restore from troubles, also prevents deterioration of an output image caused by an oil streak or the like of the fixing roller, and prolongs the lives of a fixing roller and a pressure roller. SOLUTION: In the fixing device in which the conductive fixing roller 1 having an elastic body 12 formed on a metal core 11 and the insulation pressure roller 2 having an elastic body 22 formed on a metal core 21 are in firm contact with each other, an insulation contact roller 30 is pressed against the pressure roller 2 in order to form a recess 2-1 on the surface of the pressure roller 2.
