The machine has first and second storage containers (2,3) for water connected by a fluid conducting connection and a temperature sensor (8), a valve (9) and a brewing head (7) with a fluid connection to the containers. The sensor is arranged so the temperature of the water fed to the brew head can be measured and water is fed to the brewing head from the first and/or second container via the valve depending on the temperature.
