PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an outside diameter of a contact electrode without sacrifice of the function of a position detector, and to miniaturize the whole detector by shortening the total length required for fixing a contact segment to a rotating body. SOLUTION: In the position detector, varying power is performed by moving a 2nd lens group 51 and a 3rd lens group 52 in the an optical axial direction, by the rotation of a finder cam 59 which receives rotational force from a driving source through a gear 59a. To the finder cam 59, a contact segment 61 for position detection of the varying power is integrally fixed, and a resistance plate 62 is fixed in a finder base 49 side so as to come in slide contact with the contact segment 61 for the position detection of the varying power. The contact segment 61 for the position detection has: a fixing base part for fixing the segment 61 to the finder cam 59; an deflection arm part extending almost circumferentially from the fixing base part and biased towards a side of the surface in slide contact with the resistance plate 62; and a slide contact electrode part formed in an almost central part separated furthest from the fixing base part of the deflection arm part, protruding further to the slide contact surface side from the deflection arm part, and caused to abut on a surface of the resistance plate 62.
