INK JET RECORDING PAPER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR INK JET RECORDING PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording paper having a porous layer of a high quality which exerts sufficiently the effect of each functional additive and which is improved in image nonuniformity and streak-like unevenness and excellent in curling characteristics.

SOLUTION: The porous layer is formed by applying on a substrate a water-soluble coating solution containing a hydrophilic binder and fine particles. After drying of the porous layer is completed and before the layer is wound in the shape of a roll, a solution containing the additive is given to the porous layer and dried. The ink jet recording paper is thereby manufactured.
