<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inventory control system, an inventory control method, an inventory control program and a storage medium with its program stored capable of changing safety stock according to the update of set values such as a schedule planning cycle, a delivery lead time, and a schedule lead time, and always maintaining it as a proper value. <P>SOLUTION: This inventory control system is provided with a demand forecasting means, a result value calculating means, a forecast balance calculating means, a parameter calculating means, and a safety stock calculating means for calculating safety stock based on the parameter. A regional data different from the data read at planning a schedule are temporarily read from a data storing means to each means following the update of a set value, and various calculation processing is executed one or more times. Also, a system providing side is provided with an input means for accepting the input of table designations whose use is desired at using the functions of this system.
