The invention relates to a rolling mill producing rolled strips. The aim of the invention is to create a rolled strip with a regular thickness even in the edge area thereof, thereby reducing the quantity of scrap edges. Said aim is achieved by a rolling mill (1) which comprises axially movable working rolls (2, 4), at least one of which is provided with a continuous, non-linear contour. Deformation of the roll barrel is compensated by means of said continuous, non-linear contour of the working roll (2, 4).
