PURPOSE: A master local server system is provided to set a plurality of local servers as slave and monitor the states of the slave local servers through a communication network. CONSTITUTION: A state management unit(110) receives registration information of a plurality of local servers, and sets the local servers as slave local servers(40). The state management unit(110) continuously requests a state report to the slave local servers(40), receives responses of the slave local servers(40), senses the operation states and abnormality of the slave local servers(40), and displays the sensed result. A slave local server authentication unit(120) generates an authentication key for authenticating the use of the slave local servers(40), notifies the authentication key to the slave local servers(40), and performs the authentication of the slave local servers(40). A slave local server software management unit(130) manages OS and software versions of information terminals connected to the slave local servers(40), and performs a remote up-load.
