A method and a device for X-ray inspection of a tire, the device comprising X-ray tubes (2a, 2b) installed just above the mutually opposed tire end parts of the tire (10) transported by a roll conveyor (1) and radiating X-ray to the tire (10) and X-ray line sensors (4a, 4b) disposed along spaces between adjacent rolls (1R, 1R) under the roll conveyor (1) in correspondence with the X-ray tubes (2a, 2b); the method comprising the steps of photographing transmission X-ray images of the right and left halves of the tire (10) by the X-ray line sensors (4a, 4b) and synthesizing the photographed transmission X-ray images of the right and left halves of the tire (10) by a tire internal part image inspection means (5) to provide the transmission X-ray image of the entire tire (10), whereby the inspection of the inside of the tire can be accurately and efficiently performed also for a tire with a small flatness.
