The invention concerns a device for vertical division of the part of a motor vehicle forming the trunk with several parallelepiped folding modules (1, 2, 3, 4), integral with a fixed base (5) which may or not be merged with the trunk floor (9). The independent modules open instantaneously and close by simultaneous pivoting and folding of all the partitions forming each module or compartment. If required, when the fixed base (5) of the device is independent of the trunk floor (9) and set thereon, it is immobilized by co-operating with the trunk internal side walls (6, 7, 7a, 8) by wedging and retaining means, some of which are sliding (51, 51b, 51c, 51d, 51e). The partitions are articulated and self-locking: folding (13, 14, 23, 24, 33, 34, 43, 44) or pivoting (11, 12, 21, 22, 31, 32, 41, 42), horizontal in rest position. When in use position, they are vertical, and delimit internal individual storage compartments (1, 2, 3, 4). The invention, preferably prefabricated in plastic material, is applicable to motor vehicles and concern existing vehicles, as well as those which may originally be equipped with same. |
