PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check the pronunciation of a Chinese character which cannot be pronounced and to display the result of the check by a method of displaying the pronunciation of a Chinese character. SOLUTION: In a Chinese character database, the Chinese character figure data S consists of component figure data. One or at least two component figures S<SB>1</SB>,...S<SB>n</SB>are displayed on the computer display screen by the input in a word processor, and according to the display on the screen, the theoretical product of each component figure data is searched and candidates of the Chinese character figure data S are displayed. By clicking/selecting the figure of the Chinese character figure S on the computer display screen with a mouse or the like, the Chinese character code data is specified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
