PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a command to switch a measuring mode to be entered in a dimension-measuring column provided with a probe tip by turning the angular position of a single control button. SOLUTION: The dimension-measuring column (1) is provided with a probe tip (44) that is designed to be brought into contact with an object (9) to be measured and its driving device, a console (7) to indicate the position of the probe tip and operate the driving device, and a turning control button (8). When the turning control button (8) is turned clockwise, the probe tip is driven in a first direction, and when the button (8) is turned counterclockwise, the probe tip is driven in a reverse direction.
