A pharmaceutical infusion concentrate comprises an epothilone and a pharmaceutically acceptable organic or aqueous solvent. Also described is a pharmaceutical formulation comprising an epothilone and a pharmaceutically acceptable organic or aqueous solvent in the absence of a surfactant having an HLB value of 10 or above. A lyophilized composition contains an epothilone and mannitol or a cyclodextrin.
