REVETMENT BLOCK AND MAT

A revetment mat formed of revetment blocks having a size of about one and a half times larger than standard sized blocks and made of precast concrete. The one and one-half size revetment blocks are used as end blocks in alternating rows. The end block preferably has four sidewalls having a plurality of projections and recesses for interlocking with adjacent revetment blocks. When used to form the revetment mat, the mat has evenly aligned edges and resists upward lift and turning associated with half blocks of the prior art.
