PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data copy system for shortening the processing and preventing the occurrence of unwanted errors by omitting copies of areas where copy is originally unnecessary in copy processing among logical disks. SOLUTION: In a copying work of logical disks performing as an measure against troubles for high-order means, such as an OS and applications in a computer, copying from an OS management information area in which information to manage the logical disk is stored and a data unwritten area in which there is no written data is prevented.
