<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging press enabling the reduction of marking hours for die replacement while maintaining the highest positioning accuracy of both upper and lower dies in forging. <P>SOLUTION: The forging press is a multi-process type one provided with a lower die holder 10 comprising a lower main die holder 11 and a lower sub die holder 15 detachably-installed in the lower main die holder 11, an upper die holder 20 comprising an upper main die holder 21 and an upper sub die holder 25 detachably-installed in the upper main die holder 21, a horizontal migration means approximating/estranging the lower main die holder 11 to/from a bed B, and at least three sets of guide elements. Each of the guide element comprises an upper guide 22 formed on the bottom side of the upper main die holder 21 and a lower guide 12 formed on the top side of the lower main die holder 11, the upper guide 22 is located upper than both the lower guide 12 and the upper sub die holder 25 as a slide S rises up to a top dead center in die replacement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
