PURPOSE: A working fluid suction apparatus of a hermetic compressor is provided to make an inlet part of a suction muffler neared to the inner wall surface of a hermetic container to the utmost. CONSTITUTION: An actuating fluid suction apparatus of a hermetic compressor comprises a suction pipe supplying an actuating fluid form the outside of the compressor to the inside, passing through a hermetic container; a suction muffler(30) installed inside the hermetic container; and an inlet part(35) of a flexible material detachably assembled to the suction muffler. The suction muffler removes noise of the actuating fluid sucked through the suction pipe and transfers the actuating fluid to a compression chamber side. The inlet part guides the actuating fluid transferred through the suction pipe to the inside of the suction muffler. In the inlet part, an inlet side is opposite to the suction pipe and an inlet side is communicated with the inside of the suction muffler. The sectional area gradually is narrowed from the inlet side toward the outlet side. A combining part(37) is installed to the outlet side of the inlet part and the combining part is assembled to a combining protrusion(32) formed on a side of the suction muffler. The section shape of the combining protrusion is a square shape. A combining chamber corresponding to the outer shape of the combining protrusion is formed to the combining part. Thus, leakage of the actuating fluid is minimized and efficiency of the compressor is improved.
