PURPOSE: A multi function processing clock device and a driving method thereof are provided to provide various functions like an alarm function and an illumination function according to a remote or direct user request. CONSTITUTION: A clock function unit(11) performs functions of a clock informing time. An alarm processing unit(12) provides an alarm requested by a user in a method requested by the user. An input unit(13) receives a command and a designated alarm sound from the user. An illumination processing unit(16) processes illumination as to the clock by receiving a direct or indirect command from the user. A remote controlled information sensing unit(17) receives a control command transferred remotely from the user. A control unit(14) controls to perform the operation of the clock function unit smoothly, and performs checking and processing as to input information from the remote controlled information sensing unit, and controls to perform the processing of information from the user using the clock function unit and the alarm processing unit and the illumination processing unit. And a storing unit(15) stores information like alarm and illumination and remote control added to the clock according to an indication of the control unit.
