PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image space display method by which a user can easily grasp a feature space by assigning each feature to a respective one of dimensional axes of a display space. SOLUTION: In order to extract a feature showing the features of an image from a plurality of images, to hierarchically divide a feature space on the basis of that feature, to virtually convert a plurality of images into tree structure, to divide the display space on the basis of that tree structure and to display an image space by displaying images in each of correspondent spaces, an image display part 8 carries out feature extracting processing 81, clustering processing 82, tree structure generating processing 83, display space generating processing 84 and display picture generating processing 85 according to an image application 7. Then, the tree structure is generated for each feature, dimension corresponding to the number of the features are generated by one-dimensionally mapping each of tree structures, and these dimension data are defined as display coordinate axis data.
