<p>The invention relates to a method for generation of a relief image, comprising pixels and representing, in colour, the terrain over which an aircraft is flying, with at least one normal anti-collision mode in which the colour representing the terrain for each pixel at a given time depends on at least the difference in altitude between the aircraft and the terrain, given either as information about the danger of collision between the aircraft and the terrain or as information about the proximity of the altitude of the aircraft and the terrain and possibly information on the presence of at least one zone of intervisibility between the aircraft and a given potential threat. The decreasing order of priority for the information begin the following, firstly information on the danger of collision, then information on at least one zone of intervisibility, then proximity information. On each pixel which isn't situated at the level of the contours of the zone of intervisibility, only that extant information of the highest priority is retained for the make-up of the relief image and in each pixel the colour of the relief image can be modulated by shading information which represents the relief of the terrain at that pixel.</p> |
