ALGAE RESTRAINING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an algae restraining system which makes the maintenance easy and enables the reduction of running cost by restraining the generation of algae without the periodical cleaning and unwatering. SOLUTION: A circulating pump 4 and a water treating vessel 5 are disposed on the upper surface of a water vessel 1, the water treating vessel 5 is provided with a filtration vessel 10 and an electrode vessel 12 on which a pair of insoluble electrodes 11 are disposed and the electrodes 11 are connected to a current controlling device 13 and a polarity switching device 14. The oxidation-reduction potential of water passing the filtration vessel 10 is lowered to 300 mV or less in the electrode vessel 12 and oxygen which is necessary for the breeding of filtration bacterial and is required by aquatic animals and plants can be supplied thereto. Phosphoric acid included in the water is deposited on the electrode and nitrate in the water is decomposed to nitrogen gas by the generated hydrogen gas. The generation and growth of algae are restrained because phosphor and nitrogen which are the substances causing the eutrophication of water are removed.
