The present invention discloses an environment-friendly anti-fouling composition produced using aqueous metabolic product of Dictyota friabilis, an alga belonging to the family Dictyotaceae. The present composition has a strong anti-fouling activity, thereby having increased economic benefits. Also, since the composition according to the present invention is produced from a natural metabolic by-product of an oceanic organism, it is possible to attain concurrently the protection of the oceanic ecosystems and utility of the oceanic organism. In addition, it is expected that the present composition may prevent environmental pollution which is a disadvantage of the conventional anti-fouling composition. |
