The floating dock consists of several bodies (R) between which are one or more loading units for the loading of marine craft brought in between the bodies. The floating dock carries containers (B) to accommodate the cargo and which are equipped with transporting devices leading to the loading units. The containers may be constructed to hold bulk, fluid or gaseous cargos, and with means to transfer them to the loading units. The floating dock has its own means of propulsion and means of anchoring.
