PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extruder for a ceramic honeycomb by which body flow can be made smooth and there exists no fear of heat generation and a normal ceramic honeycomb can be extrusion-molded even for a thin wall and a method for extruding the ceramic honeycomb using it. SOLUTION: A flow adjusting part 3 is constituted of a reducing part 21, a cylindrical part 22 and an expanding part 23 from the upstream side and the inlet shape of the twin screw part side of the reducing part 21 is made to be the same shape as the outlet shape of the twin screw part 2 and the outlet shape of the cylindrical part side of the reducing part 21 is made to be the same shape as the inlet shape of the cylindrical part 22 and the inlet shape of the cylindrical part side of the expanding part 23 is made to be the same shape as the outlet shape of the cylindrical part 22 and the outlet shape of a foreign material removing device part side of the expanding part 23 is made to be the same shape as the inlet shape of the foreign material removing device part 4. The flow adjusting part is made to be a cassette form to reduce maintenance cost and the time for delivery.
